● How do I protect my personal information when shopping online?
Avoid giving personal information (consumer habits, composition of your household) as this may lead to unsolicited commercial offers. Read carefully the terms of use of your personal data; don't be afraid to ask if they are not sent to a third party. Never give out your credit card PIN! Only accept transactions made with secure payment, indicated by a small locked padlock or key at the bottom of the screen.
When using a public computer, do not save the passwords you use in the browser.
● How do I choose the right purchase on the Internet?
Before ordering a certain product online and especially before paying for it, ask yourself the following questions that will help you make your choice:
• Is the trader clearly identified (name, address, register)?
• Are you aware of the cost of shipping, taxes and customs fees?
• Are you aware of the warranties offered, especially for video, computer or electrical equipment?
• Are you aware of the terms and conditions of sale?
Watch out for deadlines that limit your rights!
● How can I be sure that I will not be misled?
Be aware that the website language and extension (.fr, .es., .hu etc..) do not in any way determine the country and member state where the seller is established. We also recommend that you do not trust special offers and advertisements that appear "too good to be true". Be aware of the fact that if the order is confirmed by e-mail, the delivery of the product can still be refused by the merchant, because electronic confirmation does not usually mean the conclusion of a contract.
● How can I be sure that there will be no payment problems?
Before confirming your order, you must have the opportunity to correct any errors. Your consent is expressed with a double click: one click to authenticate the order and one click to confirm the authentication. Consider retaining a summary of your order, transaction confirmation and also the terms and conditions of sale at the date of the order. However, if any problem occurs after payment, do not hesitate to contact the merchant immediately and make a complaint. Beware: some sites automatically add a product or service (eg insurance) to your order summary to prompt you to make a further purchase. Before confirming the order, you can refuse this new product by removing it from your "basket".
● What information about the supplier of the good or service do I have access to?
The service provider is obliged to provide users with direct and unhindered access to information about:
• - your name or title;
• - his permanent address - data for correspondence, including telephone and e-mail address for direct and timely contact with him;
• - data for entry in a commercial or other public register;
• - information about the body exercising control over its activity, when this activity is subject to a notification, registration or licensing regime.
Do not order from a supplier for whom this information is missing!
● What are my rights in case I want to cancel the order?
In the EU, you have the right to cancel an online purchase within 7 working days - a "cooling off period" that starts from the day you receive the ordered products. During this period, you may decide to cancel the order for any reason, even if you have just changed your mind. The seller is obliged to return the money to you within 30 days. The refund must include all costs incurred by you.
Attention!! The seven-day cooling-off period does not apply to hotel reservations, car rentals, plane tickets, etc., if you are buying from an individual and not a professional merchant.
● What warranty does the product have?
When you buy a product by post, phone or internet from an EU-based trader, you are entitled to the same two-year warranty as you would have if you had bought the product in a shop. However, you are not entitled to claim a refund from the merchant if the defect is minor.
